Aaron has been racing mountain bikes since the late nineties and coaching since 2006. He started racing cross country mountain bikes, then raced a little road before discovering cyclocross. In 2014 Aaron raced in his first world cup XCO and is working hard to maintain UCI points while chasing national and international events.
In college Aaron studied exercise science and food science and has lived in Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Vermont for school and work. In 2014 he left his 9-5 job to pursue to dream of racing and coaching full-time. Off the bike, Aaron is a pen, ink, and stationery enthusiast, dabbles in black & white film photography, and has an obsession with miniature dachshunds. From time to time he gets nerdy and works with LaTeX, linux, and R. His excitement for data comes in handy when crunching ride numbers for his clients. Check out his Coach page, or Wenzel Coaching for more information about working with Aaron.
